Testimonials

Thank you so much for supporting me, it helps a lot towards the expenses of mare Nostrum. Thanks.
— Zac Dell
I am extremely grateful to be a recipient of this scholarship.
Please pass on my thanks to the Swimming NZ Trust board.
Mare Nostrum is going to be an incredible experience for me - and your financial support is much appreciated.
— Sam Brown
My thanks goes out to the New Zealand swimming trust for giving me this scholarship. It will definitely go to good use and will help immensely.
I am very appreciative.
Thanks again.
— Chelsey Edwards
I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for your ongoing generous support. This has been an immense help to myself and my family to help support me in reaching my goals.
Thank you again.
— Caitlin Deans
I am currently on my last days of MIQ and have had a chance to reflect on the past 3 months. Being away from home to avoid lockdowns and continue training was a huge task in the midst of a pandemic but we did it and learnt a lot along the way. I was able to watch world records fall, train with champions and meet some awesome people. I even reached a few goals of my own.

Thank you for the Scholarship award towards preparing for and competing at the 2021 World Short Course Champs. It helped make it possible to travel a week earlier and experience training with the Speedo Swim Squads in Dubai and compete at a second meet. I realise it has not been an easy financial year, so I appreciate the continued support from the New Zealand Swimming Trust. Wishing you a happy new year.
— Laura Littlejohn
Thank you and the rest of the Alumni for your support, this will be extremely helpful toward the costs of the camp and efforts to qualify for the Olympics.
— Vanessa Ouwehand
Thank you so much! I am so grateful for support from the NZ Swimming Alumni and am very excited for the next steps over the next few months.
— Brearna Crawford
Thank you so much for awarding me this scholarship! It is going to be beyond helpful to support my swimming.
— Ruby Matthews
Thank you so much! This is greatly appreciated and I am so grateful with your continued support.
— Bradlee Ashby
Thank you so much for selecting me to be the recipient of this award. It means so much to me because it helps me believe in myself more and reassures me that people do think that I can reach my goal of becoming a Paralympian. The $500 that come with the award is extremely useful in helping with the costs of travel to the big meets that I am working towards so thank you again. Attached is the information you needed.
— Ella Benn
Again, I would like to thank you for supporting my endeavours in the swimming world.
Financial assistance such as grants from the NZ Swimming Alumni truly does assist my family and myself. Not only does it allow me to follow my dream, but it also relieves the financial pressure on my family.
Rest assured that this grant will be put to good use. Ngā mihi.
— Quinton Hurley
Really excited to be representing Swimming New Zealand at the upcoming Pan Pacific champs in Tokyo, Japan! Would just like to say a massive thank you to New Zealand Swimming Alumni for their continued support on my journey.
— Daniel Hunter
Thank you so much for another year of financial support. It is hugely appreciated and will help out a lot for the Mare Nosturm trip.
— Emma Godwin
Thank you for the birthday wishes and a massive thank you for the scholarship. The financial hardship is always hard to come by so I appreciate the help in getting me to Mare Nostrum to compete.
Fingers are crossed for success over in Mare Nostrum and I hope to continue with your support in future.
— George Williams
Please know that your financial support would help me a lot. I have, and continue to, accrue a lot of expenses and I want to make sure that I have enough funds to allow me to continue training for another 4 months until NZ Opens.
— Mario Koenigsperger
First of all, just want to give a huge thank you to you and the Swimming New Zealand Trust! After a very challenging year this financial support is greatly appreciated. I love what you’re doing for our sport and for other athletes like myself who are working towards their dreams :)
— Michael Pickett
Thank you for this support. It is greatly appreciated and especially since it has been a difficult fundraising year for the NZ Swimming Trust.
— Laura Littlejohn
Thank you so much for the support it means a lot especially with everything that has gone on this year!!!
— Hayley McIntosh
Thank you so much for both the nomination and the awards! It definitely lifted my mood during this challenging time.
Hope you are all well and staying safe. Also yes those bank details are correct. Once again, thank you very much.
— Eve Thomas
Thank you very much! I’m extremely honoured and grateful to be the shared recipient for the Harlequin region this year. Thank you very much again!
— Gina Galloway
Thank you very much for selecting me as the Aquaknights Emerging Swimming of the Year 2019.
— Gina McCarthy
Thank you very much for this privilege.
— Luan Grobbelaar
A huge thank you to the NZ Swimming Alumni for your continued support of my swimming. I had a very successful NZ Opens qualifying for the World Championships in the 200 IM.
I look forward to competing next month and hope to make New Zealand proud.
Once again, thank you so much for the scholarship. It enables me to continue to be the best swimmer I can be.
